Zakir has benefited a lot from all his physio appointments over the past 2 years, first with Julie Paul and now with both Julie and Annalise. I don’t think he is always aware of how much it helps him because a lot of the work he does at physio helps some of his invisible deficits.
His physio has helped him to keep up with his peers and to not be afraid to take risks and try new things, like rock climbing camp at SFU this summer.
I have to add that Julie Paul has been instrumental in Zakir’s progress and we greatly appreciate that she still oversees his physio progress. We as a family feel fortunate to have access to the expertise at kids physio. Everyone who works there is always very welcoming and friendly. It makes it a joy to come to Kids Physio.
I chose kids physio because my girls and I were in a car accident and one of my girls has a concussion /back issues/headaches and the other back issues. I thought that picking a physio place that specializes in children would be the best thing for my girls to get specific help especially since they had been through a very traumatic experience, and I was totally right. It was one of the best decisions for them. They really have enjoyed coming.
Alyssa has been wonderful with the girls. Making them feel very welcome and comfortable at each visit. Taking care of every need they might have. And making there rehabilitation enjoyable. I always feel like she does her best in making sure that they are receiving the best care possible.
All the people that work at the Surrey location have been nothing short of wonderful. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave everybody makes sure everything is perfect. I, as the girls mom received great care and attention without even being their patient.
We really appreciate all Julie has done for both our girls.
My daughter especially enjoys her support as she is a teenager having to deal with the struggles of having DCD. Julie has been encouraging and supportive as she strives to compete in swimming. She is great at sharing her stories and relating to our teenager.
Julie has also been supportive and instructive when our youngest daughter had a concussion last Fall. She was far more informative on how we should cope and help our daughter recover. She monitored her rehab progress and informed us when it was safe to get back to her love of movement and tree climbing.
Thank you for all your hard work Julie!
We were researching physical therapies for my son to improve his balance, strength, endurance, agility and reaction time. My online search eventually led me to Kid’s Physio. After reviewing the group’s website, I gave the office a call to arrange for an assessment and consultation. The service we received was exemplary right from the beginning. We booked an initial appointment with Carly for an assessment. After the appointment, we were thoroughly convinced that the Kids’ Physio Group (and Carly in particular) was an excellent choice for our family!
My son’s physical abilities have improved tremendously as a result of the exercises that Carly has introduced us to. All of the areas which we set out to improve upon have done so markedly. Will’s progress has resulted in his increased confidence. He even got an “A” in his grade 3 PE class this year! He is eager to try new things and apply his new-found abilities, which is wonderful for us as parents to witness!
Carly has an amazing personality. She is patient, kind and engaging. Will simply loves her! Her affable manner motivates him to do his best, not just when he is at physio but also when he is doing his exercises at home. She comes up with amazingly creative exercises which are very well tailored to Will and that he enjoys doing. She is obviously knowledgeable and also intently listens to our parental observations. She also welcomes us into the treatment area and engages the entire family in some of the exercises. As a result, ALL of our kids love going to physio, even though Will is the primary recipient. Carly has helped us integrate a very beneficial physical therapy program into our family’s basic routine. We sincerely thank her for all of her help over the last year. We look forward to continuing to improve our physical development with Carly’s assistance.
We choose Kids Physio because me and my son,we had a car accident on December last year, and our occupational therapist recommend Kids Physio Group.
My son had a broken leg,and he have plate. After the surgery he keep his foot all the time inside and he's moving his hip in wrong position.
We started going to Kids Physio at the beginning of May,and now after three months he make a very big progress. He is almost back to normal,we need to work with him just at the endurance, because he is tired after a while when is playing and running.
Sijia is doing a great job with my son, ,she is professional, very carefully and have patience with our son.
We are very happy with the services and treatment we’ve received at Kids Physio.
I chose Kids Physio, initially, because it was close to home and came recommended by my son’s pediatrician. We started off with one therapist physiotherapist, who was excellent, and so when she was departing and it was time to change therapists I was concerned about the transition! This can be tough for kids but in this case, it was handled beautifully by Silvana who recognized and respected my sons attachment to his regular therapist.
Silvana’s patience and respect just set the tone for the relationship she’s built with us! She goes the extra mile to make me, as a parent, feel confident in my son’s progress, she takes time to answer questions and she incorporates his spirited little sister into the sessions if necessary... her casual demeanor makes the whole experience enjoyable and positive for us all!
Of all the activities and therapies we do, this is the one that he looks forward to and he actually says “I wish I could go play with Silvana EVERY week!”
Every session is tailored to his interests (soccer!) and he feels such a connection to Silvana personally, that he wants to do the work and is motivated to do his best, every session.
This is the best outcome we could hope for...his willingness to persevere, despite his disability, and get the most out of his ABILITY.
It starts with the therapist. Thank you Silvana!!
