About Rachelle
Originally from Victoria, Rachelle is happy to be back on the island and working with kids of all ages and abilities at the Victoria Kids Physio clinic. Rachelle’s interest in paediatric physiotherapy was sparked when she volunteered at a child-centred clinic while completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at the University of Calgary. The desire to learn more led her to a Master of Physical Therapy degree at UBC, where she completed paediatric clinical placements in rural India and at Sunny Hill Health Center for Children. Rachelle continues to expand her skills and knowledge through post-graduate courses and has experience working in many different healthcare settings, including as a behaviour interventionist for children with autism. She is a RASP-approved physiotherapist.
Rachelle is passionate about helping people reach their goals – whether it is participating in an activity, reaching a new motor milestone, or returning to sport – and she does so in a fun and engaging way! Rachelle enjoys working with kids and young people of all ages with a variety of presentations including gross motor and developmental delays, coordination disorders, genetic conditions, cerebral palsy, autism, plagiocephaly and torticollis, post-surgical rehab, sports injuries, concussions, and more.
Outside of work, you can find Rachelle exploring the beautiful west coast via hiking trails or stand-up paddle boarding, travelling somewhere warm, immersing herself in a book, or spending quality time with friends and family.
