About Callie
Callie was raised in the town of Tillsonburg, Ontario where she grew her passion for movement through dance. Callie trained professionally at the Quinte Ballet School of Canada and the School of Alberta Ballet and obtained advanced Royal Academy of Dance and Cecchetti training. This fostered a keen interest in human body functioning and the impact of illness and injury on psychological and sociological systems. Understanding and considering such impacts and valuing a holistic approach to health and well-being through movement and education, Callie pursued her career in Physiotherapy at McMaster University.
While completing her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia, Callie worked as a varsity Athletic Therapist with the rugby, basketball, and football teams followed by continued employment as a Sports Rehab Kinesiologist. With no limit to her passion, Callie continued her love for artistic athletics by becoming an NCCP Certified Gymnastics Coach working with children and adults in the Vancouver area. It was here that she realized her love of working with children of all ages and abilities. Upon moving to Hamilton, she obtained her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate and has since been teaching classes for adults, parents, and kids.
A graduate of the Master’s of Physiotherapy program at McMaster University and a former clinical placement student at Hamilton Kids Physio, Callie has continued education in Pelvic and Women’s Health and Neurokinetic Therapy. She is excited to incorporate these into her practice creating individualized treatment to support kids and their families in achieving their physical and wellness goals and reaching their maximum potential.
