What are Motor Milestone Baby Groups?
The Motor Milestone Group classes involve 6 classes taught by one of our physiotherapists, occurring on a biweekly basis every other week. The classes centre around parent education on motor milestone development and progression, and discuss common paediatric concerns with the purpose of preventative intervention. The programs serve to promote infant development and provide information on purposeful play in a welcoming environment.
When signing up for the motor milestone group, you are signing up for ALL 6 classes regardless of attendance. This also includes a complementary 15 minute virtual consultation with the physiotherapist running the group so that they can get to know you and your child better and see which class would be the best fit! After each class, you will always be sent an email summarizing the exercises reviewed in class that day so that you may work on them at home with your child.
We do not offer direct billing for our group classes and recommend that you reach out to your insurer with any coverage questions.
Listed are the typical ages for each class. However, our physiotherapist will help guide you to the appropriate group for your child, based on their current skill set.
