Originally from Colombia, Silvana moved to Canada in 2003. She completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary before moving to Vancouver to pursue her dream of becoming a pediatric physiotherapist, obtaining her Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of British Columbia. Silvana has been working with Kids Physio Group since 2014 and is the co-owner of the Cambie Kids Physio location, which she opened in 2019.
Silvana’s post-graduate education, certifications, and experience allow her to treat a wide range of conditions, from infants to teenagers. Silvana loves working with babies and children with complex disorders, and has extensive experience with neurological conditions, torticollis and plagiocephaly, developmental disorders, gross motor delays, toe walking, coordination concerns, and more!
Silvana is currently also a Clinical Evaluator at BC Children’s Hospital, completing standardized assessments for children with neuromuscular conditions, including Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Muscular Dystrophy. Silvana loves being able to be a part of new, cutting-edge research for these conditions, and getting opportunities to gain more experience with these populations. Prior to opening the Cambie Kids Physio location, Silvana was also the Clinical Director of our Fraser clinic, working to ensure our clinic ran smoothly and could provide the best care possible to our clients.
In her spare time, Silvana loves hanging out with her cat Freddie or travelling to new places. She also enjoys staying active in any way she can; she particularly likes skiing, rock climbing, running, and hiking.
