Samantha grew up in a small town in the Ottawa Valley where she developed a love for the outdoors and an active lifestyle. She spent most of her time figure skating and volunteered as a coach for young skaters. She also competed in cross country running and track and field. During her kinesiology degree she volunteered with a fitness program designed for children and youth with special needs, where she gained experience working one-on-one with children and teens with ASD and Down Syndrome.
Samantha always knew she wanted to work with kids and when she went on to complete her degree in physical therapy at The University of Toronto, she took advantage of every opportunity to learn about paediatrics. She completed a clinical internship at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital where she worked with children and teens with neurological conditions. She completed her final internship here at Toronto Kids Physio where she gained valuable experience and skills working with babies, children, and teens of all abilities. Samantha was awarded the Hospital for Sick Children Prize in Paediatrics upon graduating from the program.
Samantha is passionate about making physio fun for all ages and making a difference in the lives of families. Outside of work, Samantha likes to stay active by hiking, camping, and canoeing. She also enjoys yoga, art, and spending time with friends and family!
