Sabrina was born and raised in Ancaster, Ontario and grew up as an active member of the community, participating in many sports including competitive dance, soccer, and volleyball. Her experience in sport also sparked her interest working with children through coaching and counselling in summer sports camps.
From a young age, Sabrina has had a desire to work in healthcare, her passion for movement and human kinetics leading her to pursue an undergraduate degree in Honours Science-Kinesiology at McMaster University. During that time, she became involved in the field of sport medicine, working as a student sport therapist for the McMaster Women’s varsity soccer team and completing her undergraduate thesis on the topic of concussion in varsity athletes.
Sabrina went on to pursue her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University which further inspired her interest in health promotion and rehabilitation. She has been working in the field of orthopaedics since 2014 and has experience with a broad spectrum of patients including young professional and competitive athletes, children with orthopaedic injuries and post-surgical patients. Since the birth of her daughter, Sabrina’s interest and passion for paediatrics has grown and she looks forward to providing engaging treatment plans for children and coordinating with their families to empower them to meet their rehabilitation goals.
As a registered physiotherapist, Sabrina strives to provide evidence-based care and has completed additional coursework and training in soft tissue release techniques, manual therapy, concussion management, and vestibular rehabilitation therapy. Sabrina is also a contemporary medical acupuncture provider and is a certified Functional Range Release (FR) and Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) provider.
When she is away from work, Sabrina loves spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter. You can frequently find her hiking local conservation area trails. She also loves food and enjoys eating at many of the amazing local restaurants Hamilton has to offer.
