About Mikaela

Mikaela was born and raised in Winnipeg. Her passion for working with children started during the summers she spent working at camp, where she taught numerous campers how to paddle a canoe and conquer the climbing wall.

Mikaela has always had a love for all things science and math, but it was her first Anatomy course in university that sparked her fascination with how the human body works. She pursued a Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Manitoba, and after completing a clinical placement in school therapy, she was hooked on pediatrics and hasn’t looked back!

Prior to joining Kids Physio, Mikaela had the privilege of working in a variety of pediatric settings in Winnipeg, Thompson, and several First Nations communities in Manitoba. She has a special interest in working with babies and children with neurological conditions.

In her free time, Mikaela enjoys exploring Manitoba’s hiking trails, singing in choir, trying new recipes, and spending time with friends and family.
