About Melanie

Melanie was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the town of La Salle, Manitoba. She has always had an interest in physical activity which included dancing, running, and any school physical activities she could participate in. Melanie has always had a passion for working with kids and harboured this through teaching dance to children of all ages.

Melanie’s love for movement and helping people is what led her to pursue a Master’s in Physical Therapy at the University of Manitoba. She always knew she wanted to work with kids and has sought opportunities for this in her studies and in her field of work. Melanie has had the pleasure of working with kids in both the public and private sectors throughout various communities in Manitoba. She is passionate about helping and supporting families and their children in reaching their goals. Melanie’s interest in working with children grew even deeper once she had children of her own, two boys, Remi and Noah. Melanie is passionate about working with kids to determine the cause of their injuries and movement patterns to support them in their healing. She is excited to help kids in Winnipeg with their unique needs in reaching their goals and aspirations.

Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending time outside, finding joy in movement, gardening, travelling, reading, and spending time with her husband and two kids.
