About Cindy
Cindy grew up in Scarborough and attended the University of Toronto for her undergraduate Honors Human Biology degree. It was during this time that she discovered that she wanted to pursue a career as a physiotherapist after breaking her arm – not once but twice! Having gone through the rehabilitation process herself, she earned her second degree from the University of Toronto’s Physical Therapy Program. It was during her student placement at the Hospital for Sick Children that Cindy discovered her joy in working with infants and babies.
Cindy’s passion for working with little ones and their families has flourished during her 20 years of experience, combining her training in Neuro-Development Treatment (NDT Level II) and Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME level 2). Providing Physiotherapy in-home services across diverse communities including Scarborough, Markham, Richmond Hill, Thornhill and Stouffville, Cindy worked with families to maximize their child’s gross motor development and skills to achieve age-appropriate milestones. More recently, Cindy has worked in a Children’s Treatment center for over a year, assisting children with disabilities and behavioural challenges to achieve their movement goals.
