Julie grew up in Mississauga, ON and was involved in sports and dance classes since the age of five. She has had her fair share of sports injuries and was first exposed to physiotherapy when she was 11 years old, which sparked her interest in paediatric physiotherapy.
After moving to Burlington, Julie pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology) at McMaster University to better understand how the human body works on the inside and the outside. After completing her Bachelor’s degree, Julie went on to complete a Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto.
Julie has always been passionate about working with kids of all ages, and has extensive experience with kids in her community as a camp counsellor, tutor, Sunday school teacher, and volunteer at elementary and high schools. During her clinical internship at SickKids Hospital, Julie worked with a lot of kids with a variety of conditions where she greatly expanded her paediatric knowledge and skillset. Julie loves combining her love for working with kids and her passion for human anatomy and meaningful movement to work toward her dream of being an impactful paediatric physiotherapist.
Julie is committed to making physiotherapy super fun and empowering by bringing lots of creativity, humour, and energy to every session so that every kiddo can get back to doing the things they love!
As an active individual, Julie enjoys playing volleyball and softball, she loves to dance and she continues to find fun ways to be active. Julie also spends time painting, playing the guitar, reading and spending time with family and friends biking, hiking and exploring.
