About Josie
Josie grew up in Wakaw, Saskatchewan, across the street from a playground, and within walking distance of ball diamonds, parks, and the school gym. She completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the U of S, graduating from the College of Kinesiology in 2018, majoring in Exercise and Sports Studies, and from the School of Rehabilitation Sciences with a Master’s of Physical Therapy in 2020.
She has always loved working with children, starting with babysitting, and transitioning to running summer kid camps, volunteering at the U of S PAAL program, and eventually becoming a pediatric physical therapist. Josie has worked as a physical therapist in outpatient developmental pediatrics for the last 2.5 years, and has experience working with a range of conditions, including gross motor delays, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Spina Bifida, brain injuries, and plagiocephaly/torticollis. Josie loves the challenge of finding inventive ways to assess and treat kids through play-based therapy.
