About Evi

Evi was born and raised in Stoney Creek and grew up heavily involved in sports and athletics including soccer, volleyball, football, dance and gymnastics. With a strong passion to better understand the human body and human movement, Evi went to McMaster University to study Kinesiology, graduating with highest honours. After earning her degree in Kinesiology, Evi pursued the field of Physiotherapy and graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Physiotherapy.

Evi has always had a strong passion for working with children and has a variety of experience working with young kiddos as a camp counsellor, youth soccer coach, babysitter and elementary school classroom volunteer. You may recognize Evi as she has been a volunteer at our clinic since May. With this experience, she has been able to learn from amazing physiotherapists on how to make therapy fun but still goal-oriented, and generate a large, kid-friendly and creative treatment toolbox! Evi has had various opportunities as a physiotherapy intern to develop her skills with very specialized populations including those with spinal cord injuries, cancer and medically complex children. These internships allowed her to grow into a mature, empathetic and energetic therapist with strong interpersonal skills. Evi was thrilled when she discovered the world of paediatric physiotherapy, as it combines her love of children, the human body and movement, and working as a team to help others.

Evi brings a lot of passion and enthusiasm to the team. She is always looking to bring fun into every session and hopes to make every child smile. Evi loves to work with patients and families to reach their goals (both physical and psychosocial) and strongly believes in a patient-centred approach to care. In Evi’s spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, loves being active through sports and outdoor walks/hikes, and travel around the world!
