About Carly

Originally from Victoria, Carly completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Victoria before moving to Vancouver to complete her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. After experiencing her own orthopaedic challenges and interacting with physiotherapists during her childhood, Carly entered the field with a keen interest in paediatrics. As a UBC student, she completed two placements at BC Children’s Hospital and volunteered weekly at Kids Physio where she quickly discovered the clinic was the perfect fit to start her career in pediatric physiotherapy. Carly enjoys treating patients ranging from babies to teenagers and loves the challenge of keeping the sessions both effective and fun. Her post-graduate education and experience allows Carly to treat patients with a wide range of presentations including developmental disorders, gross motor delays, toe walking, coordination concerns, sports related injuries, concussions, and more! In North Vancouver, Carly collaborates with the BC Community Brain Injury Program to support children with recent brain injuries in reaching their rehab goals. Carly also has a special interest in baby physiotherapy and can often be found giving presentations on Infant Motor Development to parents in the community or performing motor milestone check-ups in the clinic. In addition to her clinical work, Carly is the Clinic Director of the Fraser and North Vancouver locations. She helps mentor new physiotherapists on the KPG team as well as UBC students with an interest in paediatrics. This year, Carly won the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Rising Star Distinction Award for her diverse work and leadership in the pediatric field. Outside the clinic, you would likely find Carly training at CrossFit, playing one of many sports, catching up with her three sisters, cheering on the Canucks and Seahawks, traveling somewhere warm or adventuring in the mountains on her snowboard.
