L'amyotrophie spinale entra\u00eene une perte de tissu musculaire et une faiblesse. Lorsqu\u2019il y a une perturbation entre les cellules qui contr\u00f4lent la fonction motrice, cela peut entra\u00eener une atrophie ou une fonte musculaire. Cette faiblesse est souvent plus grave dans les muscles du tronc, du haut de la jambe et des bras que dans les mains et les pieds.<\/span><\/p><h3><b>Types de SMA<\/b><\/h3><ol><li><b> SMA type I = maladie de Werdnig Hoffman (SMA \u00e0 d\u00e9but infantile)\u00a0<\/b><\/li><\/ol><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">G\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e9vident avant l\u2019\u00e2ge de 6 mois<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les sympt\u00f4mes comprennent une hypotonie (diminution du tonus musculaire), une diminution des mouvements des membres, une diminution des r\u00e9flexes tendineux, des fasciculations (contractions), des difficult\u00e9s de d\u00e9glutition et d'alimentation et des difficult\u00e9s respiratoires.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"2\"><li><b> SMA type II = Forme imm\u00e9diate<\/b><\/li><\/ol><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les premiers sympt\u00f4mes apparaissent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement entre 6 et 18 mois<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Capable de s'asseoir sans soutien, mais ne peut pas marcher ou se tenir debout sans soutien<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Difficult\u00e9s respiratoires<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un traitement de fond et \u00e0 des soins cliniques proactifs, les fonctions motrices peuvent \u00eatre am\u00e9lior\u00e9es<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"3\"><li><b> SMA type III = maladie de Kugelberg-Welander<\/b><\/li><\/ol><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">D\u00e9velopper des sympt\u00f4mes apr\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e2ge de 18 mois<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Peut marcher de fa\u00e7on autonome\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les muscles proximaux (plus proches du tronc) des jambes sont touch\u00e9s en premier et les mains d\u00e9veloppent un tremblement.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les complications peuvent inclure la scoliose et les contractures articulaires\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sujet aux infections respiratoires<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h3><b>Comment la physioth\u00e9rapie peut aider<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Physiotherapists can assess gross motor function, do hands-on testing on muscle strength, tone, and length.
